Current Affairs of the Week

  1. In order to boost the aspirations of self-reliant India, International Centre of Automotive Technology [ICAT] has launched e-portal ASPIRE. The Automotive Solutions Portal for Industry Research and Education [ASPIRE] aims to make way for technological development and innovation in Indian automotive sector on a global front.
  2. The first interplanetary space mission by United Arab Emirates onboard the spacecraft named Hope successfully launched from Tanegashima Space Centre, Japan. The mission aims to track atmospheric conditions on Mars after the spacecraft reaches its orbital destiny in around February 2021.
  3.  Cochin Shipyard Ltd. received a contract to build world’s first fully automatic electric vessel for ASKO Maritime, Norway. The 67-metre-long vessel shall be powered by 1846 kWh capacity battery.
  4. Padma Bhushan recipient and renowned mathematician, Professor C S Seshadri passed away. His contributions in algebraic geometry remain unparalleled. He was the founder of Chennai Mathematical Institute.
  5. Registering the second victory of the season, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes wins the Hungarian Grand Prix 2020 held at Hungaroring Circuit. The second and third places on the podium were secured by Max Verstappen [Red Bull] and Valtteri Bottas [Mecedes] respectively.
  6.  Morissana Kouyate [Guinea] and Marianna Vardinoyannis [Greece] to be honoured with United Nations Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela Prize 2020 as announced by the General Assembly. Awarded at the interval of five years for exceptional dedication in serving humanity, this year the recipients shall be conferred virtually in the wake of pandemic.
  7. Known for blending crime thrillers with literature, author S Hussain Zaidi publishes his new novel ‘The Endgame’. Published by Harper Collins India the book epitomises terror and suspense.
  8. National Council of Educational Research and Training [NCERT] to replace content on ‘Jammu & Kashmir separatist politics’ with ‘electoral politics and scrapping of special status’ in class 12th Political Science textbook.
  9. Ministry of Human Resource Development [MHRD] launched ‘Manodarpan’ initiative to ensure mental well-being of the students. Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank launched helpline number, website and handbook for the same.
  10. Indian Navy conducted joint Passage Exercise [PASSEX] with United States carrier strike group, USS Nimitz near Andaman and Nicobar Islands in Indian Ocean.
  11. Union Food Processing Minister, Harsimrat Kaur Badal virtually inaugurated Zoram Mega Food Park in Mizoram.
  12. Sahitya Akademi Award winning writer, Baldev Singh Sadaknama published his new book ‘Suraj Kade Marda Nahi’ based on the life of freedom fighter Udham Singh.
  13. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 came into force on 20th July 2020. It replaced the Consumer Protection Act, 1986. This Act of Parliament offers protection to consumers from both traditional sellers and e-commerce. It also encapsulates effective and speedy settlement of consumer disputes.
  14. Larsen & Toubro [L&T] to fully acquire Texas based telecom services company, Orchestra in a $25 million deal.
  15. Kate Winslet is announced to be the recipient of TIFF Tribute Actor Award 2020 at the Toronto International Film Festival. This honour is given for exceptional contribution to the entertainment industry.
  16. Toonz Media Group [TMG] to confer Legend of Animation Award to quintessential animation director Arnab Chaudhuri at Animation Masters Summit [AMS] 2020.
  17. The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation recognised teen activist, Greta Thunberg as the winner of first Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity, conferred for exceptional innovation and contribution to sustainable development with respect to climate change and its impact.
  18. India designated as ‘lower-middle-income’ country according to new World Bank country classification 2020 with respect to income levels.
  19. Actor Sonu Sood launched ‘Pravasi Rojgar’ app for migrants to find jobs opportunities across the country.
  20. Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranked chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani as sixth richest man in the world.

    As in my points of view:-Any books can assist you, but your research means to say your all studies concerning the related topics by witnessing the topics in a realistic manner can boost a new caliber to transform the world by the eternal light stock of realistic knowledge.
    As in Sanskrit language it is well defined:-*gyaatum ichchhasi sah gyaanam*

    One suggestion:-Don’t take it in a negative way,make sure it will be also available in hindi to reach to all the Indians.
